The Large Account Application Gateway platform incorporates off-the-shelf modules that provide operators with new content capabilities, mobile-originated (MO) messaging management, customer service, and interconnection with other operators.
Poker: This module is responsible for MO traffic routing (person-to-application messages). Poker provides a new concept in the way mobile operators allocate short codes and long virtual numbers for content providers in order to route messages to their gateways. The module is also capable of maintaining the simplicity of number management and configuration in the relevant operator’s systems.
Reverse Billing: This module handles application-to-person (A2P) premium traffic (while charging the message recipient by reverse billing) from third-party content providers and the operator’s internal content applications. Reverse Billing includes dynamic rate management, message type provisioning (e.g. ringtones, MMS, icons), detailed management reports, third-party content providers’ reports, and billing integration.
Guardian: This customer service module is responsible for content provisioning and anti-SPAM control per subscriber, enterprise and/or sector. Guardian complements the Large Account Application Gateway platform by helping operators fulfill content-related service level agreements (SLAs) with subscribers. While Large Account provisions the content providers, Guardian enables the creation of subscriber content-preference profiles including configuration of specific content types and formats, authorized content providers, and recursive category blocking.
A subscriber profile can be created in three formats:
- Customer service, call center interface – customer support representatives (CSRs) enforce preferences and on-line blockings via unique wizard-based GUI
- Customer self-management via user-friendly Web interface
- Stop SMS – subscriber can, upon receiving content message, send SMS replay with the word “Stop” to block future content of a specific service
SMS Interconnect: This module is responsible for adapting text messages (i.e. conversion, format matching) to different networks, thereby enabling SMS interconnect between subscribers (i.e. P2P, A2P) of different operators and networks. SMS Interconnect features a field-proven, carrier-grade infrastructure that supports GSM, CDMA, TDMA and iDen networks, as well as two-way mobile to landline messaging over VoIP and PSTN networks. |
